    You will work as part of the Global Supply Chain's Planning organization to align demand and supply, manage supply constraints and ensure spare products flow from global manufacturing and OEM partners into Bio-Rad's distribution network to support our Service organization. You will also manage the reconditioned instrument program to ensure a steady supply of reconditioned instruments for the commercial organization. You will manage and optimize Bio-Rad's inventory investment and cycle time to meet our customer's expectations for on-time product delivery.

     

    The Global Planning Manager - Spares Parts & Recondition Instruments will work cross functionally to define a global process, policies, and procedures to support Bio-Rad’s instrumentation business and our commitment to our customers for service support.

    Responsabilités

    • Lead a team of Spare Parts Planners and the cross functional integration with Product Managers, R&D, Field Service Organization, and Global Manufacturing & Procurement.
    • Responsible for leading operational activities involving forecasting, purchasing, shipping, replenishment, and returns.
    • Responsible for implementing global and regional targets to manage inventory and excess and obsolete parts.
    • Manage the flow of materials within the respective regions ensuring that there is an optimization of stock and service level at all locations in line with company objectives.
    • Manage and integrate various stakeholders throughout the organization to support supply chain objectives for the respective regions including shared responsibility for inventory level and obsolescence.
    • Responsible for serving as the first tier of escalation on spare parts inventory availability among Regions, Field Service Centers, and Manufacturing.
    • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and make recommendations on programs to improve operations, including current technologies that may have application within the supply chain process for spare parts and refurbished instruments.
    • Develop and implement New Products (NP) and phase-out plans in coordination with R&D, Procurement, and Marketing to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction to Bio-Rad customers.

    Compétences

    • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering or related field.
    • Minimum 7 - 10 years’ experience in supply chain planning & inventory management required.
    • Strong understanding of ERP & Planning (DRP) software systems – knowledge of SAP preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of PC and software applications required. MS-Office, SAP-R3, APO and BI.
    • Strong understanding of repair processes and quality management required.
    • Strong leadership skills with a bias for actions.
    • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
    • Results oriented self-starter with a strong sense of ownership.
    • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem solving skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and to deal with ambiguity.
    • Strong influence skills to work in a matrixed organization.
    • Ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and be detailed oriented.
    • Demonstrated leadership in delivering results and building organizational capability.
    • Ability to interface successfully with cross-functional groups.
    • Strong organizational, planning, and negotiation skills.
    • Excellent facilitation and issue resolution skills.
    • Ability to travel globally up to 35%.
    • Bilingual - English/French – preferred.
    • APICS certification (preferred).
